Montesong 2024: Finalists Announced! Montenegro’s Next Eurovision Star to Be Chosen

Montenegro is gearing up for a thrilling season of music, with Montesong 2024 set to determine the country’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Switzerland. The Selection Committee has now unveiled the 16 finalists after evaluating a record number of submissions, narrowing down 37 entries to an exciting mix of talent and genres. Each of these performers will battle it out on 27th November, with the winner securing a ticket to the global Eurovision stage.
Among the final 16, we see a diverse range of styles, from heart-wrenching ballads to contemporary pop anthems. Here’s the list of finalists, presented in alphabetical order:
- Anastasija Koprolčec – Kraj (The End)
- Bend «9» – Stop war
- Boban Rajović – Suze (Tears)
- Dolce Hera – Repeat
- Đurđa – To ljubav je (That’s Love)
- Glumci Bend – San (Dream)
- Isak Šabanović – Ljeto, ljeto, ljeto (Summer, Summer, Summer)
- Kejt – Obala raja (Shore of Paradise)
- Luka Perazić & Rade Vukčević – Dva srca (Two Hearts)
- Luka Radović – Kada dođe maj (When May Comes)
- Milena Vučić – Škorpija (Scorpio)
- Nemanja Petrović – Među zvijezdama (Among the Stars)
- Neonoen – Clickbait
- Nina Žižić – Dobro došli (Welcome)
- Tina Džankić – Nova (New)
- Verica Čuljković – Čuješ li (Can You Hear ?)
The Montesong team has worked tirelessly to ensure that the competition remains inclusive and represents the best of Montenegrin and international music. For those who didn’t make it to the finals, three backup entries were also chosen in case of disqualifications:
- Tamara Živković – Poguban let (Disastrous Flight)
- Hanibal – Čuvaj me (Take Care of Me)
- Danijel Popović – Kano kastigan
The artistic director of the festival, Vladana Vučinić, assured fans that the 16 finalists were chosen based on their potential to compete on the Eurovision stage, and the names are presented alphabetically to avoid influencing the jury’s or public’s perception ahead of the event.
Montesong will take place on 27th November at the Voco Sports Hall in Podgorica, marking Radio and Television of Montenegro’s annual celebration. The event will be broadcast live, with voting open to both the jury and the public.
The winning act will not only represent Montenegro at Eurovision but also bring Montenegrin music to a wider audience, continuing the country’s legacy at the contest. We can expect to hear all the competing songs on 10th November, giving the public plenty of time to pick their favourite.
