Slovenia’s much-loved TV host, singer, and comedian Klemen has announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated concert at Odiseja in Ljubljana, scheduled for 17 October 2025. The decision comes just months after his Eurovision journey — a chapter that, according to Slakonja, “turned everything upside down”.

“The biggest concert of my career” — postponed indefinitely

In a heartfelt post on social media, the former Eurovision 2025 representative confessed that the outcome of the contest had left him emotionally drained:

“2025 has been a year of big challenges and expectations. After Eurovision and my debut album, I wanted this to be the biggest concert of my career. But the result at Eurovision turned everything upside down. When you put your soul into something and don’t get the same energy back, you’re left empty. And when you’re empty, you need to recharge.”

Instead of a grand arena show, Klemen revealed he plans to focus on more intimate performances — concerts “as if playing in my own living room”, allowing him to connect closely with fans.

Fans rally behind him

The announcement triggered an outpouring of support from fans across Slovenia. Many flooded his page with messages of understanding and solidarity:

  • “Congratulations for listening to yourself, Klemen! This must have been a hard decision, but it’s the right one.”
  • “The living room gigs will be even more special — we’ll be there!”

The shift from a large-scale spectacle to intimate shows has been widely praised as an authentic move, proving Slakonja’s commitment to artistry over pressure.

Eurovision 2025: a bittersweet turning point

Slakonja’s Eurovision appearance was one of the most talked-about moments of Basel 2025, sparking conversations not only about his bold staging but also about Slovenia’s result, which fell short of expectations.

While many fans still celebrated his performance, the outcome seems to have profoundly shaped his artistic choices for the rest of the year. By stepping away from the grand Odiseja stage, Slakonja signals a shift towards creativity, introspection, and direct fan connection.

What’s next for Klemen?

Although the Odiseja concert has been cancelled, Slakonja is far from disappearing. His team confirmed that he’s already working on a series of smaller, exclusive shows, alongside potential collaborations for new music in 2026.

For fans, this might actually be a blessing in disguise: fewer fireworks, more Klemen.
