While several countries continue to tiptoe around the Eurovision elephant in the room — a certain nation whose name begins with «I» and ends in diplomatic controversy — others are ploughing ahead with 2026 plans like it’s just another glitter-filled Thursday. Enter Serbia: calm, composed, and Eurovision-ready.

In an interview as direct as a Balkan espresso, RTS Head of Media Duška Vučinić-Lučić has confirmed that Serbia will indeed participate in the 70th edition of Eurovision, set to be held in Austria. While she acknowledged the ongoing discussion surrounding Israel’s participation, her stance was clear: “Yes, it’s a delicate matter, but no — we’re not sending angry letters to Geneva.”

This echoes earlier statements by Serbia’s head of delegation, Uroš Marković, who also signalled a firm yet diplomatically smooth approach to the issue.

As for how Serbia plans to pick its next Eurovision hopeful, official details are still under wraps. However, all signs point to the return of the beloved national selection Pesma za Evroviziju, where strong vocals and stronger opinions usually go hand in hand. o, while some broadcasters draft ultimatums and open letters, Serbia is already warming up the stage lights. Eurovision 2026: less drama, more Đorđe.
