Sanremo 2025: Duran Duran turn the Ariston into a giant nightclub in an electrifying third night!

The third night of the 75th Sanremo Music Festival brought a wave of energy to the Teatro Ariston, as the remaining 14 competing artists took the stage, hoping to win over the public and the jury of Italy’s top radio networks.

With 10 million viewers and a solid 60.10% share, the show was significantly more dynamic than the previous two nights. The witty humour of Katia Follesa, who co-hosted alongside Carlo Conti, actress Miriam Leone, and the ever-glamorous Elettra Lamborghini, added a lively touch to the evening. However, the undisputed highlight was the spectacular performance by Duran Duran, who turned the Ariston into a full-blown ’80s-style dancefloor, sending waves of nostalgia through the audience.

Settembre wins Silver Lion in the Nuove Proposte final

On the musical front, the night crowned the winner of the Nuove Proposte (Newcomers) category. Young Neapolitan artist Settembre took home the Silver Lion with Vertebre (Vertebrae), a song penned by Mahmood, Italy’s Eurovision representative in 2019 and 2022.

Meanwhile, in the Big Artists category, the five most-voted acts of the night—selected by both the televote and the radio jury—were: Brunori Sas

Francesco Gabbani, who famously represented Italy in Eurovision 2017 with Occidentali’s Karma.

What’s next? A night of iconic duets and a special Oscar-winning guest!

Tonight, Sanremo 2025 continues with a special cover night, where the competing artists will perform duets of both Italian and international hits alongside guest performers. The event will also feature a very special appearance by Oscar-winning actor Roberto Benigni. To top it all off, Mahmood and comedian Geppi Cucciari will join Carlo Conti as co-hosts for the evening.

Which performance will steal the show tonight? Stay tuned for another unforgettable night in Sanremo!
