Pesma za Evroviziju 2025: Serbia Chooses Princ with ‘Mila’ to Represent Them at Eurovision 2025!

Last night, the final of Pesma za Evroviziju 2025 lit up the stage, deciding who will be the next flag-bearer for the former Yugoslav republic at Eurovision, set to take place in Basel from 13th to 17th May. Hosted by Dragana Kosjerina, Kristina Radenković, and Đorđe Živadinović Grgur, the show saw 16 artists take centre stage, all vying for votes from both the audience and a distinguished jury.
Show Recap:
- Oxajo – “MaMa”
Kicking things off in a monochrome spectacle complete with billowing smoke and a giant «A» on screen, this synth-rock outfit delivered a delightfully ’80s blast. Nostalgic? Yes. Innovative? Debatable. - Mimi Mercedez – “Turbo žurka”
Set in an apocalyptic bunker, Mimi brought a track with a touch of folk flavour. Was it a party or the end of the world? You decide. - Vukayla – “Mask”
Clad in a dress reminiscent of a raven, and flanked by five masked dancers, Vukayla served up a rap-pop hybrid in Serbian and English. A modern twist, wrapped in mystery.
- Ana & The Changes – “Brinem”
With guitar in hand and two backing vocalists, they delivered an intimate pop-blues number that felt more like a whispered secret than a shout. - Biber – “Da mi se vratiš”
In a star-studded set featuring four barefoot dancers seemingly caught in a coven, the duo offered a ballad with rock and folk touches. Pure magic – if you like a bit of theatricality. - Bojana & David – “Šesto čulo”
Amid post-apocalyptic costumes or maybe just quirky geometric backdrops, this duo presented a catchy pop-dance track that left us scratching our heads – in a good way. - Maršali – “Po policama sećanja”
Dressed like a ’60s band and set against a backdrop that shifted from a library to a city skyline, they offered a jazzy piece with hints of rock. Elegant, but perhaps too safe. - Princ – “Mila”
Delivering a rock ballad in a «lunar» atmosphere, the performance featured an aerial dancer in the second half. Poetic, if slightly overdone.
- Sedlar – “Oči boje zemlje”
A jazz-inflected ballad set first in a forest, then transitioning to a sunset with a full moon. Classic and understated, yet a tad predictable. - Lensy – “Hvala ti”
On a set mimicking a winter forest, Lensy presented another pop ballad that, while pretty, failed to stand out amid the competition. - Milan Nikolić feat. Caka – “Storia del amore”
After a slew of ballads, the moment for folk arrived. With Milan on accordion and Caka singing amidst clouds while tangoing, they delivered a love story that felt like a step back in time. - Harem Girls – “Aladin”
The most daring act of the night – five drag queens and one lead vocalist brought a rap with oriental touches that was as bold as it was unmissable.
- Tam – “Durum durum”
Set against a backdrop reminiscent of a temple, Tam fused techno, oriental rhythms, and rock into one of the evening’s most original numbers. - Filarri – “Meet and Greet”
Amid flashing screens and computer codes, Filarri’s pop-dance track felt like a digital experiment gone slightly awry. - Iskaz – “Trendseter”
The band offered a punk-rock number with folk influences, even as sheep wandered across the screen. Innovation or madness? You be the judge. - Kruz Roudi – “Sve i odmah”
The final act saw the band, dressed as if they were wizards, deliver a rock track while shooting stars rained down on the screen. A spectacular finale indeed.
