Moldova’s Eurovision Comeback: Can Selecția Națională 2025 Strike Gold?

Buckle up, Eurovision fans—Moldova is officially back in the game! TRM has just unveiled the rules for Selecția Națională 2025, and the race to find the nation’s next Eurovision representative is on. With submissions now open, the hunt for Moldova’s next big thing has begun. Will this be the year the country finally takes home the trophy?
Artists have until December 27 at 5 PM local time to submit their entries. After that, the real fun begins. From December 28 to January 15, TRM’s selection team will dive into the submissions, separating the contenders from the pretenders. Those who make the cut will be invited to live auditions—because in Moldova, Eurovision is serious business.
The live auditions, happening between January 15 and February 5, will be broadcast for all to see. This is where dreams are made—or shattered. At the end of the auditions, a jury will hand-pick ten lucky acts to move on to the grand finale, slated for late February.
And here’s where it gets spicy: the final decision will be split evenly between the audience at home and a professional jury. So, whether you’re rooting for an edgy ballad or a dance floor banger, your vote will carry just as much weight as the experts’.
Moldova has always been known for its fearless Eurovision entries, from epic sax solos to dazzling folklore-inspired performances. But after a disappointing 13th-place finish in last year’s semi-final with Natalia Barbu’s “In The Middle,” the pressure is on to come back stronger than ever.
Selecția Națională 2025 is bound to bring the drama, the passion, and maybe, just perhaps, the perfect formula for Eurovision glory. So, who will rise, who will fall, and who will capture Europe’s hearts? Stay tuned—this ride is just getting started.
