Eurovision Stars Shine Bright at the 2024 MTV EMA: From the Eurovision Stage to International Glory
The 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) are back with a bang, and this year, the spotlight shines on several Eurovision contestants who’ve transitioned from the contest to chart-topping success. Noa Kirel, Israel’s Eurovision 2023 star who took third place with “Unicorn,” continues to dominate the Best Israeli Act category. Kirel has been a force to be reckoned with, consistently taking home the award between 2017 and 2022 (except for the rare years when the category was paused). This year, she returns as a strong contender once again, cementing her legacy as one of Israel’s brightest stars.
A Star-Studded Event Returns to Manchester
The 2024 MTV EMA ceremony promises to be a celebration of the best at music, and this year’s edition is particularly significant as it returns following last year’s unfortunate cancellation. Due to the Israel-Hamas conflict, the 2023 event was called off for security reasons. But in 2024, Manchester will host the prestigious awards on November 10th, where the biggest stars in music – including Eurovision alumni – will compete for glory.
