Eurovision 2026: ORF Drops the Masterplan – Key Dates Revealed

Austria is already polishing the sequins — ORF, the nation’s public broadcaster and proud host of Eurovision 2026, has revealed the all-important dates that will shape our ESC calendar over the next nine months. Yes, the road to May has officially been paved… in gold glitter.
From City Secrets to Stage Steel
Here’s how your Eurovision-obsessed year is about to look:
- August 2025 – Host City Reveal – Will it be Vienna or Innsbruck ? We’ll know soon.
- September 2025 – Participants List – The official roll call of who’s bringing the drama, the bangers, and the inevitable ballads about peace.
- December 2025 – Ticket Sales Begin – May the odds be ever in your browser’s favour.
- January 2026 – Semi-Final Allocation Draw & Host City Handover – The moment where flags are waved and half the fandom starts panic-planning travel.
- February 2026 – Postcards Filming – Cue drone shots, local landmarks, and at least one awkward slow-mo smile.
- April 2026 – Stage Construction Begins – Where the magic (and the health & safety briefings) happen.
- May 2026 – The Shows – Either 12, 14 & 16 May or 19, 21 & 23 May. ORF will lock the dates the moment they spill the Host City tea.
Austria Means Business
ORF insists preparations are moving “from strength to strength” — which is broadcaster-speak for “we haven’t slept in months, but it’s going to be fabulous.” Whether you’re in it for the pyrotechnics, the politics, or the inevitable Twitter meltdowns, 2026 is already shaping up to be a year to remember.
