Eurovision 2025 on Spotify: when the scoreboard meets real-life streaming

Eurovision 2025 crowned JJ with “Wasted Love”, giving Austria its third win in the contest’s history. But the year was about more than trophies. Political tension around Israel’s participation, due to the situation in Gaza, led Slovenia, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain to withdraw from the 2026 contest in Vienna.
Politics aside, streaming numbers tell another story.
Which Eurovision 2025 songs did people actually keep listening to?
Let’s take a look.
10. Finland
Erika Vikman – “Ich Komme”
29,890,310 streams
Finnish techno with German lyrics closes the ranking just below 30 million streams. Erika Vikman never aimed to please everyone, and that unapologetic sensuality turned out to be her strongest asset.
9. San Marino
Gabry Ponte – “Tutta l’Italia”
35,338,855 streams
Ninth place, but everywhere. “Tutta l’Italia”, previously used as a Sanremo interval track, became a full-blown pop phenomenon across Italy: ads, stadiums, celebrations. San Marino sent it. Europe claimed it.
8. Netherlands
Claude – “C’est la vie”
40,381,017 streams
The Netherlands brought a fully French-language entry to Basel. Seven months later, after announcing their withdrawal from Eurovision 2026, the title feels oddly prophetic.
C’est la vie.
7. Austria
JJ – “Wasted Love”
44,549,923 streams
The winning song lands in seventh place on Spotify. Nearly 45 million streams for a heartbreak ballad that clearly struck a nerve across Europe. Sadness sells. So does sincerity.
6. Norway
Kyle Alessandro – “Lighter”
49,522,393 streams
Almost 50 million plays confirm Kyle Alessandro as one of Europe’s most promising new pop acts. Eurovision was just the beginning.
5. Germany
Abor & Tynna – “Baller”
56,146,230 streams
Stefan Raab did it again. A relatively unknown duo, a techno track, and suddenly clubs from Ibiza to Amsterdam were on board.
Result: 56 million streams.
Fun fact: it also topped our own Spotify Wrapped. Dedication journalism.
4. Italy
Lucio Corsi – “Volevo essere un duro”
67,441,541 streams
Stepping in for Sanremo winner Olly, Lucio Corsi finished fifth in Basel with his beautifully “losers” anthem. Nearly 68 million streams later, it proves that finishing mid-table doesn’t mean fading away
3. Estonia
“Espresso Macchiato”
106,714,188 streams
Bronze for Estonia. “Espresso Macchiato” became one of the most viral songs of the season, breaking past 106 million streams. Europe’s most famous coffee, served extra strong.
2. Portugal
NAPA – “Deslocado”
107,409,658 streams
After Rosa Linn, another TikTok-driven success. “Deslocado” became the soundtrack of homesickness, pushing the Portuguese entry beyond 107 million streams. Missing home has rarely sounded this popular.
1. Sweden
KAJ – “Bara Bada Bastu”
114,851,797 streams
The most streamed Eurovision song of 2025 comes from Sweden. KAJ’s sauna anthem reached almost 115 million streams, proving that sweating can, in fact, be productive.
Sweden remains an IKEA of hits… just with clearer instructions.
In the end, Eurovision always talks about unity… and delivers rankings, boycotts and endless playlists. Decisions are debated in boardrooms, shouted about online and settled, like most things these days, through headphones.
Because the real Eurovision jury no longer raises scorecards. It presses play, skips tracks and repeats others until they wear out. And there’s no official storyline that can compete with that.
You win Eurovision for one night. If Spotify likes you, you last all year.
