ERT kicks off the road to Vienna with 28 acts and one very familiar comeback

Hosted by Betty Maggira, Kelly Vranaki and Thanos Papahamos, the programme offered first song snippets and short interviews, giving viewers a taste of what is shaping up to be a very open race.

A line-up that refuses to play safe
The selection embraces stylistic diversity, jumping from laïkó to urban pop, alternative sounds and full-on Eurovision-ready entries.
Standout names include Marseaux, one of Greece’s current pop heavyweights, and Evangelia, returning after finishing runner-up last year. Dinamiss and Rikki are also back after taking part in the previous edition, proving that ERT is open to continuity when it sees potential. The most talked-about return, however, belongs to Koza Mostra, who re-enter the national selection more than a decade after their iconic sixth place in Malmö 2013 alongside Agáthonas Iakovídis with Alcohol Is Free.

Greece is once again doing what it does best: blending familiarity with experimentation and letting the selection breathe. Now comes the real Eurovision ritual: listening, arguing and changing favourites every other day. And honestly, that’s exactly how the season should start.
