Dora 2026 unleashes a heavyweight line-up as Croatia locks in 24 finalists for its biggest selection in years
Croatia has finally revealed the class of Dora 2026, and it is anything but timid. HRT’s expert jury has selected 24 finalists from a record 251 submissions, marking one of the most competitive and diverse editions of the national selection in recent memory.
The broadcaster describes this year’s cut as a “panorama of genres and generations”, bringing together established performers, rising talents and names stepping into the spotlight for the first time. With Vienna 2026 looming, Croatia is clearly aiming high.

The selection was handled by a seven-member HRT panel featuring Tihomir Preradović, Denyken, Ivana Kindl, Mia Negovetić, Monika Lelas Halambek, Jelena Balent, and Davor Medaković, blending production expertise, vocal talent and radio-driven instinct. If the list feels bold, it’s because the jury didn’t opt for safe choices.
Zagreb prepares for a February showdown
Dora 2026 will take place in HRT’s studios in Zagreb, featuring two semi-finals and a grand final, all broadcast live on HTV, HRTi, and HRT’s official website. With such an eclectic cast, Croatia is gearing up to leave a mark in Vienna.
One thing is certain: none of these finalists is turning up for background noise. Dora 2026 looks set to be one of the most unpredictable and exciting editions in years.
