Angelina Mango: From Burnout to Big Comeback – and She’s Bringing Her Smile Back

The dark clouds hanging over Angelina Mango finally seem to be lifting. The 24-year-old Sanremo 2024 winner, who stole Italian hearts (and a fair few European ones) with her hit La Noia, is slowly stepping back into the spotlight – and doing it with that radiant smile that made everyone fall for her in the first place.
After a stress-induced artistic pause – complete with a bout of rhinopharyngitis that left her literally voiceless and a worrying weight loss – Angelina did what every exhausted pop star dreams of: she locked herself away in a clinic in Parma, healed, recharged, and let mum (the legendary Laura Valente) keep a watchful, maternal eye on her. Because when your mum is a singer and vocal coach, you don’t get away with bad habits… or bad notes.
“I want to have fun again” – and it shows
Now, she’s back, looking happier than ever on Instagram. She recently melted hearts by dedicating Endless Love to her mum – who, naturally, pointed out a few vocal imperfections (classic mum move). She’s been spotted laughing in the streets with dancer Giulia Stabile, letting a caricature artist sketch them like two carefree teenagers.
And because Angelina can’t sit still for long, she’s also been to the Isle of Wight Festival, where she declared: “I’m starting to understand what I truly like.” Translation? Expect a new, possibly edgier Angelina on stage soon.
The Angelina Mango European Takeover?
To top it all off, she’s gearing up for a club tour across Italy and Europe – a more intimate, raw setting for a singer who thrives on emotional connection. Oh, and in case you missed it, she also popped up at a Marco Mengoni concert with her producer Marta Donà, to whom she posted a sweet (and unusually romantic) birthday message: “Our future is in your eyes and mine.”
The Eurovision 2024 experience may have drained her, but the new Angelina Mango seems determined to enjoy herself this time. As she cheekily wrote on her socials: “I want to have fun.” And frankly, so do we – preferably with her music blasting in the background.
