Switzerland Sends Veronica Fusaro to Eurovision 2026

Switzerland has made its choice for Eurovision Song Contest 2026, and it’s refreshingly… normal.
No gimmicks.
No sudden genre pivot.
No “this will change Eurovision forever” energy.
Meet Veronica Fusaro.
She’s 28, plays guitar, writes her own stuff, and will represent Switzerland in Vienna. Her Eurovision song drops on 11 March, and until then, we’re very much in “trust the process” mode.
This Isn’t a Shock Pick (and That’s the Point)
If you follow Swiss music even a little, Fusaro’s name won’t surprise you. She’s been around for years, picked up the SRF 3 Best Talent label early on, and then did the unglamorous part: touring. A lot.
Clubs. Festivals. Big stages. Small ones.
Over 500 shows later, this doesn’t feel like a broadcaster throwing darts. It feels like: okay, it’s her turn.
What Switzerland Is Actually Sending
Alternative pop. Some soul. Guitars that don’t apologise for existing.
In other words: an artist who sounds like herself.
In Eurovision terms, that’s quietly bold.
She’s talked about loving songwriting and performing and wanting to share music, not “win the contest” or “make history”. Which, paradoxically, is often when things land best.
What Happens Now
Veronica Fusaro will compete in the second semi-final on 14 May in Vienna. If things go well, she’ll be back for the Grand Final on 16 May.
No big slogans yet. No overthinking.
Just Switzerland saying: here’s an artist we believe in.
And honestly, after years of overdesigned entries across Europe, that kind of confidence feels almost rebellious.
Let’s see what the song does.
