Ukraine completes its Vidbir 2026 line-up as KHAYAT slips into the final

Ukraine didn’t rush this one. It let people decide.

After several days of online voting through Diia, KHAYAT has been confirmed as the tenth and final act competing in Vidbir 2026. And judging by the numbers, this wasn’t exactly a quiet endorsement.

More than 283,000 people took part in the vote. KHAYAT walked away with 91,758 votes, just over 32%, which is less “edge-of-the-seat finish” and more “clear preference”.

The prize? A guaranteed place in the final on 7 February.

A public vote that actually felt like one

This wasn’t a token poll or a decorative online extra. Whoever won this vote was always going straight into the final, no negotiations, no fine print.

Now KHAYAT joins the nine acts already selected through auditions, completing a line-up that feels deliberately mixed rather than carefully polished. Some familiar names. Some that still feel like a question mark. Which, frankly, is usually where Vidbir works best.

The full Vidbir 2026 final list

With the last spot filled, these are the ten acts heading to the final:

  • Jerry Heil – Catharticus (Prayer)
  • KHAYAT – Hertsy
  • LAUD – Lightkeeper
  • LELÉKA – Ridnym
  • Molodi – legends
  • Monokate – TUT
  • Mr. Vel – Do Or Done
  • The Elliens – Crawling Whispers
  • Valeriya Force – Open Our Hearts
  • ShchukaRiba – Moya Zemlia

It’s not a line-up that screams “obvious outcome”, and that’s probably intentional.

January is doing a lot of work here

If you’re impatient to hear the songs, you won’t have to wait long. All ten tracks will be unveiled on 15 January at Origin Stage during a live showcase, concert-style.

As if that weren’t enough, the running order draw for the final will also happen that day. Ukraine has never been shy about stacking its calendar.

And yes, Eurovision is already in the background

The Vidbir winner will be chosen through the usual mix of jury and public vote during the live final on 7 February, earning the right to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.

This year’s contest marks the 70th edition and will take place at the Wiener Stadthalle, with semi-finals on 12 and 14 May and the Grand Final on 16 May. Austria is hosting after JJ won last year with Wasted Love.

But that’s still a few steps away.

Right now, the important part is simpler:
Vidbir 2026 is complete.
The public has already shaped the final.
And KHAYAT is officially back in the picture.

Everything else can wait until February.
