Damiano David: Solo Stardom, Summer Biceps and the (Inevitable?) Måneskin Reunion

Damiano David won Eurovision Song Contest, together with Måneskin, in 2021

The king of Italian rock’n’roll swagger, Damiano David, is proving that life after Måneskin doesn’t mean leaving the band behind—it just means adding more chaos to his schedule. Fresh from Isle of MTV Malta 2025 (airing in September for those who fancy a bit of Damiano in HD), the 26-year-old frontman is riding high with his solo album, Funny Little Fears, while dropping tantalising hints about reuniting with his old partners in crime—Victoria, Ethan and Thomas.

But before we dive into the “Will Måneskin get back together?” question, let’s talk about what’s currently stealing the spotlight: Damiano’s summer.

Chicken, Rice and a Bit of Flexing

Because it wouldn’t be Damiano without some theatrical self-awareness, the singer has been parading his summer body across Instagram, checking his biceps like a proud gym bro and joking, “I need to eat more chicken and rice.” Honestly, with that many tattoos and a yacht in the background, we’re not sure anyone is looking at his diet plan.

The love story with actress Dove Cameron is still going strong—cue a thousand “couple goals” comments in ten different languages. And yes, Damiano knows exactly how adored he is worldwide: with eight songs in Spotify’s Top 30 and 18 out of 34 solo tour dates sold out, the man has the receipts to prove it.

“Funny Little Fears” and Honest Opinions

His solo venture, Funny Little Fears, is, in his own words, “something they loved… and hated.” They, of course, being his Måneskin bandmates. But there’s no bad blood. In fact, he publicly praised Victoria, calling her “the best DJ in the world”. Flattery may not get him everywhere, but it might just grease the wheels for the long-awaited Måneskin comeback.

The Reunion We’re All Waiting For

So, will the band be back in 2026? Damiano told NME that the key is simple: rest and authenticity. “We need to feel it inside, and it shouldn’t feel like a job.” Translation: if they do reunite, it will be because they genuinely want to—not because of record labels or fan pressure.

Meanwhile, Damiano isn’t ruling out acting (“People keep asking me about a film”), nor another solo album (“I’m not Superman, but I’ll definitely do another one”). Whether that comes before or after Måneskin’s return remains anyone’s guess.

One thing’s certain: Damiano David might be flirting with solo stardom, but his heart is still very much tethered to the band that made him a rock god. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.
