Festivali i Këngës Celebrates 20 Years of Albania at Eurovision
Albania’s Festivali i Këngës, a staple in the country’s Eurovision journey since 2004, is back to select the next representative for Eurovision 2025. This year’s edition, themed “Nostalgia Night,” will commemorate two decades of Albania’s participation in the contest.
The Road to Eurovision 2025
RTSH, Albania’s official broadcaster, has opened the application process for the 63rd Festivali i Këngës. From September 27 to 29, 2024, artists can submit their entries to festivali63@rtsh.al. The winner is expected to represent Albania at Eurovision 2025, maintaining a tradition that has been in place since the country’s debut.
Albania’s Eurovision History
Albania made its Eurovision debut in 2004, and over the years, has delivered various memorable performances. Their best result came in 2012 when Rona Nishliu’s «Suus» placed 5th. This year, Albania was represented by Besa with her song «Titan,» finishing 15th in the second semi-final and unfortunately not advancing to the grand final.
